The story of Foxford has woven a tale throughout the world since 1892, and has been created and developed by visionaries and entrepreneurs. Foxford Woollen Mills in County Mayo is nestled alongside the majestic flow of the mighty River Moy and the magnificent peaks of the Ox and Nephin Mountains. The Foxford wool originally came from sheep on the banks of the River Moy, but most Irish wool is too coarse and scratchy in texture, due to our wild Atlantic climate, so now they mostly use wool from Australia and New Zealand.
